Prague Fashion Weekend 2012- Taking over Prague Castle- The Program

New dress- check. Sky-high heels- check. Fashion show ticket-check… Welcome to Prague Fashion Weekend 2012. Those who love fashion, whether die-hard fashionista’s or just admirers of well-made clothing, you will be happy to know that there are ample changes for this year’s event.

As we get closer to the big event I am sure there will be things that will change- they always do- but as a rule if there are any changes I will make sure to notify you with another post… But- let’s try to avoid confusion and frustration now and go through them one-by-one

Firstly-Date Change

Prague Fashion Weekend will now take place Wednesday, September 12th- Sunday, September 16th in Hradčanské Náměstí with fashion shows occuring on the 13th, 14th, 15th, and 16th.

Secondly- Location is everything

Prague Fashion Weekend 2012 is embracing a bit of regal charm by commandeering Hradčanské Náměstí, at the front entrance of the always stunning Prague Castle. The move is in line with the overall presentation of this year’s event- serious fashion. Not only will the location play a pivotal role in PFW, but so will the sponsors – Maybelline, Redken, and Mercedes Benz, are all heavy hitters in International fashion weeks around the world, adding a bit of clout to the Prague fashion scene.

Thirdly- The Program plus designers

Wednesday- Friday the shows will start at around 4pm (16:00) and end around 8:30pm (20:30)- with Afterparties and cocktail hours being scheduled. Saturday and Sunday shows are from 11:00am-5:30pm (11:00-17:30), with two special fashion shows- Prague Fashion Weekend Stars Fashion Show on Saturday (7:45pm) and Start-up fashion show on Sunday (6pm). There should be a total of around 25-30 fashion shows over the four day period, allowing both Czech and International talent to be thrust into the lime-light.

A limited number of tickets, for the public, will be available for each show via where the price is expected to be around 250CZK per ticket, per show. (though the final details are still being worked out). The tickets, should begin to go on sale starting in August.
