It was only a matter of time before someone decided to have a spring fashion week in Prague. In an attempt to play ball with the big boys, Designblok Premier Fashion Week is accepting the challenge by adding Prague to the list of cities that have two fashion weeks per year. From March 20-24, 2013 both Spring 2013 and Fall/Winter collections will be shown by the likes of Liběna Rochová, Hana Zárubová, Pavel Brejcha, and Pavel Ivančic. Also included in the debut are the Designblok Fashion Talent Card winners Monika Krobová, Tereza Ujevičová, Karolína Juříková, and Eliška Kuchtová.
So why now, why with these designers? “This new manner of presentation, which is totally common abroad, will enable clients to see new collections, meet journalists, have a close look at the collections, and find out details about purchasing and ordering within the intimate space of the prestigious Křehký Gallery,” explains Larissa Blichova, public relations consultant for Designblok.
On Sunday, the fashion week will open up to the public offering a jewelry maker’s brunch displaying the new collection of Zdeněk Vacek and Daniel Pošta.
More information will follow in the coming weeks, but since this is hot off the presses I thought it best to give it to you all first.
