A place where sustainability and good old fashion ‘shop talk’ happen
A roof top view of Narodni Trida, surrounded by beautiful clothing and the fashion elite. It’s a place not only to chat with friends or work on your latest freelance creation- they have WiFi-but it’s a sustainable world that Natalie Steklova, owner, designer, stylist, and wonder-woman had envisioned when she created a store concept many years ago.
The space, located on the third floor in Jungmannovo náměstí, is a peaceful oasis for those looking to escape the chaotic, overpriced espresso and dry cakes so often found on Vaclavske Namesti. The location was a bit tricky to find at the beginning, but Natalie and her team have more or less remedied the situation by adding a massive banner reading “Natalie Steklova Shop & Cafe” which they have hung from the terrace. (For the record- it’s the only blue building on the square).
Besides Ms. Steklova’s own organic cotton, linen, denim, and silk creations the designer has also added a line of Bio/Organic perfumes and oils perfect for the hassles that accompany big city life. If you have decided to come for the cafe more than the shop- though I promise you will eventually try something on- the sweets- homemade by Ms. Steklova’s friends and mother- the lemonade, the champagne, cocktails, and coffee should be enough to keep you going for quite sometime.
By this point you are figuring out that the cafe, the world of Natalie Steklova, is more than just a shop and a cafe- it’s a place where like-minded people can meet over piano music (which they have), Yoga Friday (Friday morning yoga classes for 200czk), and fashion editor’s bazaar (which recently occurred with a few very well-known Czech stylists and fashion editors bringing their old wares).Natalie Steklova Shop and Cafe Jungmannovo náměstí 754/17, Prague 1 Open: Monday- Friday: 10am-7pm(10:00-19:00) Saturday: 10am-3pm (10:00-15:00) ** Store may stay open later on some days thanks to special events so check the facebook page**
